Anyone interested in becoming a member of the Connecticut River Valley Golden Retriever Club should become familiar with our Membership Guidelines (listed below), fill out an application and contact the Membership Chair.

Membership Guidelines

Adults interested in obtaining membership to the CONNECTICUT RIVER VALLEY GOLDEN RETRIEVER CLUB (CRVGRC) will receive from the Club Membership Chairperson a "Membership Packet", which will include a copy of the CRVGRC Membership Guidelines and a Membership Application. Copies of the Club's Articles of Incorporation and By-laws will be provided once all the Requirements of Membership have been met. These requirements are not intended to be restrictive, but are intended to encourage interested and committed people to join CRVGRC.

Types Of Membership Available

The following memberships shall be open to persons who are eighteen years of age and older who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club:
• Individual: Any Individual person
• Family: Two or more individuals who are related; as in spouse, parent,
child, or who are living in the same household.
• Life: Special membership bestowed by the Board to recognize
outstanding contributions to the Club.

Membership Requirements

1. Applicants must attend one (1) general CRVGRC Club Meeting in-person or participate at a Club function prior to the submission of their application."
2. The applicant agrees to abide by the CRVGRC Articles of Incorporation and By- Laws, the Code of Ethics of the Golden Retriever Club of America and the rules of the American Kennel Club.
3. Accompanying the Membership Application, the prospective member shall submit dues payment for the current year. All applications are to be filed with the Secretary and each application is to be read at the first and second meeting of the Club following its receipt. At the second Club meeting, the applications will be voted upon and will require affirmative votes by 2/3 of the members present and voting at that meeting.
4. The application must carry the endorsement of two members in good standing with CRVGRC.
5. Membership who have been rejected by the Club may reapply after six months after such rejection."Our members are active in Confirmation, Obedience, Agility, Field, Tracking and Therapy Dog work.  We also host meetings, matches, shows, seminars and fun days throughout the year.  Please check out the Upcoming Events Page and join us at one of our events.  Our recurring events are described below.
